We were contacted by a client and asked to come up with a logo for a business she was involved in, we did this happily after an initial brief and sent her the initial logo (below) based on her brief.

bustaniThen we happened to go out to Lamu where the establishment itself was. Honestly the logo we had done probably did not do the place any justice. It was a truly beautiful little café off one of Lamu towns narrow streets.

Upon entering we agreed that the logo we had done was not a perfect fit. It didn’t suit the place as much as an idea that would later dawn on us – shown above.

Anyway, the place has some pretty fantastic food and a single apartment type of  room for board when you happen to be visiting Lamu – it is likely to be a bed and breakfast service but we aren’t sure and forgot to ask.
